Simba's new feeder bowl :)

Only fair he has a new feeder bowl to go with his brand new enclosure!

Used his old bowl as its green so fits in quite well. As there's more water around now (increased mistings) I recycled the mesh guard from the basking light fixture I got with the enclosure, so it'll all drain out of the bottom.

Mesh from guard is glued to the bottom, then the ring from the outside I've fixed to a vine and that holds the bowl in, but means I can take it out for cleaning ;)

Dont think it looks too bad:

That looks like a good idea as long as the feeders can't fit out the mesh on the bottom.

How many weeks now?:)

Greta idea, I might steal that. That enclosure is looking sexy by the way! Is that one of those hard plastic pet bowls? If so what did you cut the bottom out with

Hi Laurie.

Locusts won't get out the mesh but worms would so I'm going to cup feed the locusts as I can't bear to touch them, and hopefully hand feed the worms :)

Only 6.5 weeks to go now!!

Thanks very much.

Yes it is a pet bowl. I just used a saw and a hubby to cut the bottom off LOL

Feeder bowl works a treat. Somewhere to put the feeders before they crawl out and the hunting starts ;)
