Silkworms again!

In starting silkworm colonies again. Which means, 6 months to a year of line breeding and adding new blood to line breed again for superior genetics. I look forward to it. There will be worms that wont make the cut. Worms that are fed off. Worms that get dried for chicken feed. I am excited. Ive missed raising them.

That’s awesome! I have always wanted to raise silkworms, just don’t have the time(or skill haha) good luck! Hopefully they all survive and are nice big worms!

Ugh kego stage is absolutely the hardest to care for ngl. It takes ages to move them with a soft paint brush and im planing to do several hundred at a time of each different type. Its worth it but exhausting. Only once they get to about 3/4s in length do i have issues with possible viruses and contagions killing off the first few generations.
