Hi everyone! This is my first post but I have been lurking here for ages. I'm concerned for my little guy! :( We moved him to his new enclosure on Tuesday and at first he seemed so excited! The past couple of days he has been acting scared of us just putting our hands in to feed him and I don't feel he moves much.
We went from a glass enclosure we bought to get him started and from what I've learned from you guys it's not the best so I upgraded once I could afford it, this is the first real plant he's had too we re potted and used coconut fiber for the soil and topped it with rocks so he can't get in there after we showered the plant for 20 mins.
Should I be worried or, am I just over concerned and just let him be?

A couple quick tips: 1) veils need good UVB bulbs changed out every 6 months. Make to sure to purchase a reputable one and replace every 6 months. 2) supplements should be Ca every feeding or every other feeding. Ca w/ D3 every 2 weeks. Vitamins every 2 weeks. 3) need a variety of feeders: crickets, mantis, moths, flies, silkworms, hornworms, superworms, dubia, etc... 3) light schedule for 12 on and 12 off from a set time everyday (example 7am -7pm). 4) can lower his highest basking temp to 90°f if you wish or leave, it is okay. A slightly lower one, may help him from over eating. 5) veils aren't really handable, especially as they reach adulthood. Not a set rule, but most prefer not to be later on. 6) veils grow so fast and require certain needs be met or they can develop issues very quickly. If these needs (UVB, supplements, feeder variety, etc...) are met, they can be very hardy. Hope this helps and good luck. 7) double check to make sure he is a male. At 7 months, if he turns out to be a she, you don't want to get caught out late with egg binding.
