sick chameleon

my chameleon has been acting strange he is a male veiled and is about 1 year old . lately he has been acting sluggish, staying at the bottom of the tank digging in the corner and he has been acting this way for about a week. He doesn't seem to have a lot of strength i saw him sleeping more often than usual. He lives in a 30 gallon fish tank with a 75 watt heat lamp and his uv bulb. i switched his tank about a month ago and he was funny at first but he seemed to get adjusted fine. 1 and a half weeks ago i noticed some weird bumps along both sides of his rib cage and then i noticed this behavior start. I thought he might have fallen and hurt himself but the pet store told me if it was a fracture it would be more uniform and not spuratic like they seem to be. he hasn't been eating as much as he used to. I see him eating some crickets and some silk worms but not very many and when i try to touch him he seems very irritated like he doesn't want to be bothered. I really don't know what to do and hope someone can help or advise the best thing to do. I am afraid if i take him to the vet they are going to tell me he needs tons of tests and leave there paying a lot of money to find out nothing is wrong and he's ok . Please if you have any ideas please let me know it would be greatly appreciated thanks N

I know this sounds very odd but are you sure you chameleon is a male?
On his rear feet there should be spurs, little bumps, on his heels. That would mean hes a male.
Its just the symptoms you described sound oddly like female behavior when she is carrying eggs.
For example bumps all the sides, irritated, doesnt eat much, sluggish/tired behavior, digging at the bottom of the cage.
Please post pics and double check to see if your cham has these "spurs"

also fill this out please c:

oh and i hate to nag right off the bat but a fish tank is not a proper home for a cham.
They need good ventaltion and you get that with screen cages, also the wattage of bulb seems high and deff in a all glass cage you cham could be very hot in there.

Welcome to the forums! Do you have a picture you can post? Than we can look to see if he is a she and if she is gravid (pregnant)

I'd say you have a few husbandry issues and that boy probably needs vet attention. Fill out the form above so we can see how you are doing.
