My little guy was cruising on the tubing for the misting system. He followed it to the center of his cage and then let go with all four feet and dangled by his tail in mid air. I'm new at this. Is this normal behavior? He didn't hang there for very long but hung out on the tubing for a while today. He just kinda scared me when he wad only holding on by a tail!

Chameleons live in trees. I'm sure he can handle a 2-4 foot fall and be fine.

Pretty normal behavior. That's one reason they have a prehensile tail. Or, maybe you have an adrenaline junkie cham . Really, if he's healthy a fall in his cage isn't a big deal especially if there is foliage to break his fall. There are accounts about Meller's chameleons falling out of 100' tall rainforest trees, getting up and walking away perfectly fine.
