My Male Panther Chameleon is about 6-7 months old now and is forming some great coloration. However, I have noticed this discoloration on his head over the last few weeks and wanted to see if it is something that I need to be concerned with (any recognizable disorder). Please see the pics and let me know your thoughts and feel free to ask if you need additional information (temperature in enclosure, humidity etc).
Should I be concerned with this mark?

Looks like a little burn, how close can he get to his basking light?

Thank you very much for the prompt responses! Currently, he can get very close to the light fixture. He lives in an 18"X18"X48" enclosure and I just bought a 24"X24"X48" this morning (Cyber Monday PetSmart - Only $65!). I will ensure that there is more adequate spacing between the light and the chameleon tonight. Other than providing more heat spacing, does anyone have any tips how I can help heal/reduce the burn?
