Anyone got any ideas of how to stop water from getting into a plants pot? The soil is super wet, the plants dying and mold is growing everywhere..

I was thinking using like saran wrap or something, but i dont know how i would cover it with the tree..
You can use four pieces and lay one sheet on each side of the trunk of the plant. It would not be 100% water tight but it would stop a lot of the water from getting to the soil.

I use fast draining soil mixes that helps to prevent overwatering in high mist enclosures. A premade cactus or citrus mix will work or you can just mix perlite with your potting soil 50/50, this makes the pots much lighter and they will drain quick enough to prevent stagnation and allow the roots to aerate.

I mist every 3 hours for 1 minute... The pot just gets full of water.. You really think that will work?

As long as the pot has a hole in the bottom it will work, I mist for 5-10 minutes 2-3x a day depending on species and have no issues with stagnant water. If the pot doesnt have a hole than you just need to make one and then it may work as is!

I think covering the soil with something impermeable might encourage fungus growth and smother the roots quicker. That can also kill your plant. Changing the speed and ability to drain is a better way to solve the problem IMHO. Make sure the pot saucer is kept empty or don't use one.
