It is really easy actually. They make shipping boxes specifically for shipping reptiles (animals). The boxes are lined with styrofoam that works well with an ice pack or heat pack. You can buy them from Superiorenterprise.com or LLL(http://lllreptile.com/store/catalog...i-containers-shipping-boxes-packing-material/). They also sell plastic containers for shipping at both places-these have holes in the cup allowing the cham to breath. What I do is surround the cup (or bag if an adult too big for a cup) with wadded up newspaper. If using a heat pack I put that on the bottom under some wadded up newspaper. Ice packs I put against one side of the styrofoam in the box. When using a heat pack you have to make sure some air gets into the box, so I jab a pair of scissors into the box AND styrofoam and turn them to make a decent size hole. Then you close it up, tape it, and mail overnight!
I was kind of hoping I could just buy one, but I cannot find a place to sell them individually. I am going to buy a white shipping box, then go to Home Depot/Lowes to buy the styrofoam sheets to line the box. For one Panther and the fact that you will need a heat pack, I would go with something a bit bigger than the 7X7X7.
This week I am not shipping due to the cold. You would need a heat pack since Louisville is hitting high 20's and that is where the UPS hub is. I have several waiting to go to Vegas and CA but it may be next week.
So what kind of guarantee should I give, I'm not really sure how this all works since its a sale from person to person, I don't have a business selling chameleons =) I'm guessing its going to be I guarantee it'll be alive upon arrival as long as someone is there to sign for it, but what do I do when the person says that it was dead. How does he have to prove that the animal was dead upon arrival?
