Shes diggin

If she's likely to have retained sperm, I would think twice about cooling her down, etc. IMHO it would be best to let her run out of retained sperm and then do it....but that's just my opinion.

You think she could have retained enough for a third clutch? She was bred once and only hooked up one time. I didnt think she would have retained enough for a third clutch. But I guess I will leave things as they are and see how she responds.

Well I knew it! She laid on Wednesday nite. I dug em up yesterday after work. She laid 34. So Im sitting on a ton of faly eggs guys. Momma is eatting and drinking like nothing ever happened. Thats her last clutch for awhile. Im going to try and cut her back and lower her temps to keep her from producing again this year. ;)

Congrats on the eggs. Glad to hear that little momma's doing well. Keep the eggs you never know.

Hey Scott, glad to hear she laid. I think she could easily have retained enough for a 3rd clutch. I still have my 3rd ambi clutch about to pop that were laid in march. She was put with my male for 40 minutes in Dec 09. 17 eggs made it this far out of 23. 6 molded in the first 3 weeks but the rest are still going and growing. good luck!

Ok I will leave things as they are for now. Im going to try and get her rehabbed and then cut her back to every other day feedings and go from there. I cant really cut her back any more than that. So far none of the second clutch has molded but 2 eggs in the first clutch have molded.

Just an update on this thread. So far none of the eggs from Ayvas third clutch have molded over. Her first clutch is now 5 months old as of Jan 25th. So Im hoping to have some cb falys in a few months. ;)

Fingers crossed for you - i hope she lays very soon. Oooohh babies :D It would be great to see some pics if you get any hatched. :D

Thanks everyone. The first clutch is looking good so far. I can see that it looks like the eggs have gotten a little larger.

Scott85: Thanks for asking man. The new females are doing good. One still has an eye issue I need to address but I have been letting them just chill and acclimate. It will be two weeks since they arrived on Wednesday. So Im going to get some terramycin either from my vet or LLL this week and start treating that eye. I havent really gotten a great look at it yet as I havent picked them up since I put them in their cages. I will try flushing it with a saline rinse first. Im trying to find a suitable sized laying bin for their cages. My other female is in a 4X2x2. But these are in 18 x36" cages. And its hard to find a bin that will fit with my plants in there also. I hate taking all my plants out to fit the bin in there.
