Sex and approximate age?

Hi guys, thanks for such a great forum. We just picked up this little guy from our local pet shop in Mauritius, they told us he was male. Just wandering what your thoughts were and approximate age? Thanks in advance

Male for sure and maybe around 10-12 mos or so. I am not sure what locale he is though.

Thanks so much Carol! I was pretty confident he was male, just thought I should seek some expert advice. As for locale I was thinking maybe Andapa or Sambava? He tends to go an orange tinge with blackish bluey stripe whilst he's hunting. He's lateral stripe and spines turn a light blue too. I'm not really fussed on he's locale, just glad to get a confirmation on he's sex. Thanks once again. He is very social and loves he's new bonsai umbrella tree. Although he was a little upset that he wasn't allowed to spend the night on it, as it is he's outside perch.
