I have two Ambanja males for sale. They are clutch mates but one is seven months old and the other is six months old. Their clutch took over a month to hatch out. I sold two other clutch mates through this forum a month ago. I held an additional four back until I could figure out my needs. I’ve decided to let two of the four go. They both have nipped tails that have long since healed. I fed the entire clutch silkworms while they were still young enough to live together. The next day they started chewing on each other’s tails. I think they thought they were silkworms. Now I wait until juveniles are living as individuals in cages before I feed them silkworms.
Male #3, seven months old, is 6” snout to vent and 10” in total length. He has a small, healed scar on his lower right eye turret. It should fade with each successive shed. His blue barring is more navy in person than in the pictures:
Male #4, six months old, is 5 ½” snout to vent and 9 ½” in total length. Every time I see him I think his name should be “Firecracker”. I’ve tried and tried to take pictures that capture his colors like they look in person. His reds are much more striking and attractive in person:
These two males are the product of my wild caught male Ambanja, Solarius, paired with a female from Kammerflage Kreations. Lita is a granddaughter of Glorfindel who was a stunning blue on blue Ambanja. His line was well known several years ago and was in great demand. Several other people on this forum have offspring from that great line. Solarius passed away several months ago. He was one of the first chameleons I ever purchased. He was several years old when I got him. He was easily double the size of the typical male panther. Females looked tiny next to him.
The Sire, Solarius:
The males offered here have many more months to grow and color up. They are very friendly and gregarious. They should be eager to come out to your hand for treats after they settle in. The forum members who purchased the other two siblings told me that their males were very outgoing and not in the least bit shy. They are about as close to a “pet” in a chameleon as you will get. I am asking $140.00 plus shipping for Male #3 and $110.00 plus shipping for Male #4. If they did not have the tail issue (missing the last inch) I would ask at least $300.00 for them because of their size and potential. I’ve got to tell you that their personality will make up for any missing tail.
I take Paypal and will ship UPS Overnight in a well-insulated box with heat packs added according to weather conditions. They are in perfect health and have sturdy limbs and plump tummies. They are built like tanks. I guarantee their healthy arrival and overall health for seven days. The purchaser is responsible for proper care and husbandry to keep them healthy after that. I don’t want these two to go to anyone who does not belong to this forum. I am very attached to them but can’t keep everything I hatch out. This is your chance to get a sub-adult Ambanja for a great price!
