hi, i am in the process of building a custom enclosure for a soon to be purchased baby panther chameleon. the enclosure will be 24 x 24 x 48... my question is, what would be the best enclosure for a baby chameleon, how about a 10gal tank? or should i build a small enclosure too, or buy one? thanks in advance....

How old is the baby? That cage is a good size but depending on how young you might want to raise your panther in a smaller enclosure for a few months.

A 10gal tank would be great if your baby Cham is eating fruit fly's. I used a 10gal tank for my babies & it worked out perfect. Just use it until your Cham starts eating small crickets, fruit fly's escape from screen cages. Here's a pic of my 10gal setup with a 50w basking spot lamp.

Where is your UVB light? I would be leary to house a cham in a tank. Depends on where you're located.

urrr having a uvb light as babies is most important because they need that calcium to grow.....good lord get a uvb light on all chams no matter what i seriosly dont understand how people dont relize that. 5.0 linear tube. no compact swirly bulbs.

I start my babies in a plastic tub, the storage tubs. I start training them on feeder cups, and then once they got used to it, i moved them into a large enclosure
