Rules unfortunately aren't always fair, logical, or in the case of law, moral or "right". So, if the rules here are to avoid post-production enhancements, then we must abide by those rules. That doesn't mean we can't point out the flaws in those rules.

...and one of the major flaws is that each and every digital camera does in fact edit the photo before it saves it as a .jpeg.
so all (.jpeg) photos are in some ways are edited pre-prosessed. some for the better, some for the worse.

this is not to say that we should not abide by the rules, just that we should be aware that editing is happening.
