Scared of new lights

Just got new tropic breeze 24" lights from light your reptile. I replaced the old fixture and my cham has been hiding in the back ever since then. Is it just a matter of him getting use to them?

He's a 4 month old panther. I've got him in a 16x16x30 repti breeze. Is there such a thing as too much light, should I wait until I upgrade to a 24x24x48 to use this light?

Yes, there is a thing as too much light but it would have to be brighter than the sun, so I think you are ok.
