Scab on side of the mouth?

I have a feeling its mouth rot but I'm not completely sure. I've looked up mouth rot pictures and they look yellow-grey and slimy
(This red scabby stuff is only on one side. The other side is completely normal)

Looks like it could be mouth rot.
