San Diego Chameleon Keepers

Hi everyone Im Ryan Ive had chameleons for about two years now I was wondering how often everyone out here keeps there chameleons outside and which ones they keep outside if its all the time or sometimes right now all my guys live inside and take turns going outside on warm sunny days to enjoy the sun what does everyone else do.

I do all year with Kinyongia multituberculata in San Diego.

I don't but it's because I have shade clothes or umbrellas blocking most of the sunlight in my tiny little back yard.

I put most of my Panthers outside from July to Sept when night temps don't go under 60 f .if u live by the SD coast those months are fine if u live inland u can keep them outside longer.just make sure it doesn't get too hot n make sure they have a shade spot so they can cool down if they want.

It really depends on what sort of chameleon you have.... Seeco lives on the coast but his chameleons are "cool friendly"...they like it cooler and wetter.

I do live on the SD coast right now I have veileds, jacksons, a trio of gracefuls and some carpets and some bearded pygmies but they dont really leave the house my jackson gets hot really easy but loves the wather here.
