Safe plants

I have read a couple of "safe plant lists" and different lists say certain plants are toxic others say they are safe. My question is.. does anyone have a link to a very true and official safe plant list, and are birds of paradise okay in chameleon cages?

Yeah I have tried the Live plant Data-Base, and I have been using the list there but some other lists contradict that one.

There is no "very true official plant list" and there won't be the next years. We scientifically know most toxicities in plants only in mammals and not in reptiles. And even in reptiles exist differences between species in digestion, toxicity of single plants etc - well, it's not sure in most plants whether they're really toxic to chameleons or not. So you have some different ways to detect which plants to use:

- You take a look at tocixity databases für mammals and don't use plants which are considered highly toxic because those toxins might be bad in reptiles, too.
- You trust in lists keepers made from their experience about plants they used for years in chameleon cages without problems.
- You take a look about intoxication cases in chameleons whether you'll find some and don't use these plants at all.

So... most lists already combine these opportunities, just compare those lists and use plants other people made good experiences with.
