Safe Paint?

Hey guys, these past few weeks I have been preparing to get a panther chameleon. I’m making DIY vines right now using a soaker hose and hobby wire. But I need to paint it. I bought the Rust-Oleum Gloss Protective Enamel spray paint. From what I have seen, this is safe for reptiles, but I wanted to check in with the experts first. What do you guys think? Is this safe for my chameleon?

My concern would be flaking and cracking, especially where you bend the vine. I would personally look for a way to color 100% silicone (add acrylic craft paint, food coloring ?) and use that.

Also if you are getting a panther they bite their branches. Which is why natural real branches are recommended over fake vines.

Yes! I did something similar with coarse twine to simulate tree roots in a leopard gecko bioactive tank. Looks nice, pretty realistic and 3 years later has had no deterioration.
