Rubbing eye

I just saw my baby veiled chameleon rub his eye on a leaf. Is this normal? I tried looking it up but can’t find the exact answer. His eyes are open and find he just rubbed them once

It can be normal, mine rub their eyes every once in a while especially if they are about to or start shedding. But to err on the side of caution, what kind of lights are you using?

If it was after you misted, it could also be because water got on their eye and they're trying to rub it off

I’m using the t8 linear zillaslime light I know I need the t5 I’m gonna replace it when they get it in stock at PetSmart. Do you think it’s the light?

To my understanding T8s aren’t as strong as T5s so my thinking is that wouldn’t be an issue. Someone will correct me if I’m wrong.
