Routines

Hey everyone, we all have something to learn from each other, and even the seasoned herp keeper could stand to learn a few new tricks.
We all have different chams and and albeit they are from the same species, they tend to fashion their own personalities from their surroundings
despite thousands of years of heritage molded in their brains, they all have fickle needs.

I started this thread because if we all share something about our own daily routines, we can help each other, no matter how near or far we are.
I'm aware of the blogs, but this is just for routines, not if Hurricane Judy learned to drink from a bowl. So I'll start with mine.
[btw i wish i know you haven't seen my veiled Google yet, I've only got a cell phone camera.

Seeing as we're in DST now, the daylight creaks in at 4:30 so at 5:30am i start off with Google's and Pogo's [my beardie] UVB hood, then at 6:00 their basking light.
I feed indoors despite when the beautiful weather decides to shows itself.
I feed both at 8:00 reptivite w/ D3 and Miner-all. At 8:30 i Mist both in the shower ( 5 mins.) [separately] with 24 ounces of tap water treated w/ reptisafe.
I try to mist Googez 4 times a day Pogo gets it twice. I feed both of them at 3 in the afternoon. Lights out at 7-7:30. Then the magic starts all over again!

Google stomping through my Bush Goliath tomatoes, looking for goodies.

So this why my summer squash never grew last year huh!?

Did you know that tomato plants are toxic to chams?

As for my routine:
My chams wake up between 7:30 and 8 AM. They lounge around and relax for awhile longer.

On Mon, Wed. & Friday's I feed them around 9 I give them awhile to eat and bask and then I mist and drip around 10. I do a second drip and misting around 2 or 2:30.

I dust with plain calcium about every other feeding. Calcium with d3 twice a month and multivitamins once a month.

I offer them water to drink via a dropper at least every other day. They free range inside my house and I take them to their trees outside when the weather permits and I have the time to sit and watch them.

They go to bed around 7:30 or 8 at night in the summer......slightly earlier in the winter.

Oh thank you for letting me know, it does have a very strong scent. Thank you!
Btw tonight i got my hibiscus tonight along with a Schefflera arboricola which i got at half price @ Lowes because the gardeners treated it with mediocre care.

I keep my veiled outside.

Lights on from 7:30 - 7:30

Water at 8:30- 12:00- 5:00

Still haven't worked out a feeding schedule but am working on that. Supplements will be same as above.

lights on at 6:45

mistings at:

7:45 (1 min 30 sec)
9:00 (2 min 30 sec)
12:00 (3 min)
2:00 (3 min)
4:00 (1 min 45 sec)
6:30 (2 min)

lights off 7:45

The mistings are so frequent to keep the humidity up and keep the cage cool through the hot mid day. Here in houston it will be about 88-90 average right now but mid day it can reach 110 (heat index) so Fry's basking spot will heat up to about 97 if i didnt mist at 2pm
