soi have three veiled chameleons as of right now they are all in the same cage two females and one male about 2-3 months of age is it safe to have them in there? and they are in a 35 gal tank with humidifier and a 100 watt bulb...

Is it a glass tank?
The bulb should be more of a 60 watt to get the basking spot to about 80-83F.

They should not be housed together at this age.

I wouldnt keep them in the same tank, it cause stress for all chams. You will eventually have to split them, the more dominate one will hog everything, and not to mention the possible breeding that might go on.

Yes, you don't want breeding from the same bloodline or at this young age.
You need to get a screen cage and separate them right away.

aight well it will have to do for now at least til next paycheck had to pay for bills XP but yes it is a glass aquarium... ive been meaning to get a bigger screen cage just havent had the money to do it yet

we have crickets inside and they get along well enough they dont fight and we make sure to hand feed them at least once a day in addition to the crickets

You'll need to separate them. You might be able to put the two females in one large enclosure if you provide a whole lot of visual barriers (think: solid wall) so they can't see each other. If money is tight, you might find the Reptarium type cages (pvc frame, mesh cover) less expensive but many veiled owners report they get torn up by nails. However, it might be a good short term answer to your problem.

Ask around, too. Your reptile store might have used cages for a big discount or free. All the stores I go to seem to have used cages on sale (and, I mean really on sale) at least a few times a year.

The local high school/ middle school science teacher might be able to loan you cages for awhile or sell you some for cheap (I say that because when I moved away from a big screen cage to a reptarium, I contacted my daughter's science teacher from middle school to see if he wanted it...nope, he was overly cage rich and couldn't take it.)

You might even contact lllreptile (board sponsor) and ask if they have any used cages available. They always do in the store when I go.
