Roach life span

Quick question on dubia and roaches in general. When people say one breed lives 6 months, and another breed lives 1-2 years, is that the entire life cycle, or or do the adult molts live 1-2 years?

I have no idea, although I have a dubia colony myself. I've had it ages and not found a dead one yet (probably a year or more) unless the rest of them eat the dead ones so I never get to see them. Horrid things, lol, I hate the scratchy noise their feet make as they scurry about in the tub! Ugh!

Haha. Yeah freaked me out a bit too at first, but over the past few days I've been rummaging around in there, cleaning and what not and it's sorta hardened me out lol.

The lifespan of a healthy dubia, from birth to death, is usually 1-2 years.

EDIT: The process from birth to adulthood is usually about 3 months.
