RIP Choco

I had to have my 14 year old brown lab put to sleep yesterday. Probably the hardest decision I have ever had to do. He was the sweetest, most playful, energetic, and faithful dogs I have ever know. His name was Choco (short for chocolate). My uncle gave him to me when I was 7 years old, right after the purchase of our new ranch in colombia. He was about 2 months old. I remember the day I got him, I was the happiest 7 year old in the world. It was weird though, I was terrified of dogs.
Choco helped me lose that fear of dogs. I used to do everything I could to spend time with him. Sometimes I'd even sleep in his dog house with him.
I havent seen him in a year since he was back in Colombia, but my mom and sister were at my ranch and saw that he was getting too old. Yesterday he couldnt even get up. He had arthritis and cancer.
He is now in doggy heaven, but will forever live in my heart.

Choco, you were the best companion one could ever ask for.. I'll miss you buddy.

Aww man I am so sorry I fill your pain and how our dogs or any animal become apart of our life . He will always be with you man remember that and all the fun times you had with him.

What a handsome dog. I am so sorry that it was his time to go. That is the very worst part about having a pet; when we have to say good bye.

Thank you guys, its been a really tough week.. It'll take some time to accept, for a lack of a better word, that he has passed on. He is and forever will be the best dog i have ever and will ever know.

I had a yellow lab I had to put down at 10 yrs old. It killed my husband and I to do it. I feel your pain.... So sorry for your loss. I am sure you have many wonderful memories of him to hold onto.

Hang in there. He was a beautiful dog and you will fondly remember all your years together forever.

So sorry to hear, he looks like a real cool hound. RIP Choco.
