I was wondering about reptile shows and if anyone has heard of the lone star reptile expo? I am going to i but all I see are stuff eith snakes as vendors. Any help would be awesome.

I'm a big fan of the reptile shows. There's good and bad. They are about 75% snakes. Sometimes, you can find a good deal, especially if you wait until the last hour. I bought all but 1 of my lizards from Repticon vendors. If you check them over and make sure they come from folks who care about them, you will be very satisfied. You can definitely tell whether or not the breeders give 2 turds about them.

Feeders are a good buy in my area, with no shipping it comes out cheaper, and you can hand pick them. Fluker's vines and stuff are sometimes a couple bucks cheaper a piece. ZooMed and ExoTerra usually have a table with their new stuff coming out and you can enter a raffle to win them.

It's worth at least checking out once. My wife and I go to about 4 a year, we have a blast and love checking out all of the strange animals. . . and people. Make sure to check Groupon, they will have the tickets a LOT cheaper.

Oh! And look for the venomous room. Some shows have 1. Those are some of the most beautiful creatures in the place. There's always something good in there. If someone brought 1 venomous lizard, their entire setup (which could be chams and geckos) has to go in that room. So check it out.
