For thoes of you who have been to any reptile shows, I was wondering what they are? How they are set up? Do you need an exhibit to be there? etc?

I would like to go to one soon but I do not know what to expect.

So please inform me

Thank you

A bunch of booths with lizards/spiders/feeders everywhere. If its not just a reptile show there may be non-feeder mammals as well. You dont have to have a booth to go. Look up pictures in the search feature.

Where are you located? There are shows all over the country, usually cost anywhere from $7-$12 to get in. We own a business so we vend at them but they are open to the public and usually have a large variety of snakes, lizards, turtles, tortoises, feeders, supplies, etc. Of course it will depend on what show you go to and how large the show is. They are a lot of fun though if you have the opportunity to go and there is always a lot to look at! :)

think zoo crossed with a flea market :) my only gripe is that the NARBC ones are mostly just snakes and geckos now.

can't wait to go to my first show/sale on saturday, im gonna be prepared $$$$$$$;);)i got a big list

I live in New Hampshire too and we get the New England Reptile expo twice a year in Manchester in southern NH. Here is the link http://www.reptileexpo.com/nefirst.htm

It's where I found the two chameleons I have now (you can search my posts to see pictures :D) as well as my boa.
I think the next one is in April of 2010 and is going to be bigger then the last three. It gets pretty packed every year. There is always a nice selection of geckos, snakes, frogs, insects, and chameleons - not as many chams as i want though. Hopefully now that they are expanding to adjacent function rooms there will be some big name exhibits and more chameleons!!
