refrigerating eggs

I couldn't find the option to add the cold pack and styrofoam container on silkwormshop.com, it also says you cant refrigerate the eggs unless you do. why not? I definitely was not planning on hatching 250 at a time.

what about the food they sell? it looks wet almost, should I be keeping it refrigirated? how long does it keep?

you will need they food but I would get the powered food becasue the wet only keeps around a month or less and yes you should keep it refrigirated. You might have to email them or check at a different website to get the ones that arent ready to hatch immediatly.

thanks, i'll get the powdered nex time. i do have a large, clear rubbermaid type bin, but im really not sure how it would turn out trying to hatch 250 silkworms in there...

That would work fine prob but go pick up some plastic canvas and pt it at the bottom because the poop will fall through the holes and keep the worms better off. I use rubbermaid bins but i use a couple smaller ones
