Receptive veiled female

Do all receptive veiled females go through egg laying or with reduced diet can this be controlled? My female is receptive for second time after having a clutch 5 months ago. She has been on restrictive diet ever since as her clutch was large. Not sure if receptive always equals eggs.

When after she laid the last clutch did you put her on the diet? How many days after? How much have you been feeding her per week since you cut her back?

3 days later she went on every other day with 3-5 med crickets dusted per feeding or silkworms. She stayed at 78g for months then after a recent shed has been at 88g for at least last 2 months. She seems always hungry. Temp kept low 80s too with a thermostat for 60w incandescent bulb. She was 125g when she laid first clutch of 40 or so eggs. Well calcified but way too many.

The diet should have worked...but its a fine line sometimes...sometimes it takes a couple of times before they shut off the reproduction completely and some never do. She may be producing another clutch.

I was given one years ago that had been producing clutches several times a year....it was being done on purpose (that's another story)...it took me two clutches before I got her turned off. She was under 2 when I got her and never produced another clutch after that and lived to be 7.

The thing is to shut them off without compromising their health.

Thank you. Since she is receptive is it a for sure she is producing a clutch or could it maybe not amount to anything . Will of course keep an eye on her weight.

Thank you. Definitely a learning experience
An update: 106g now and holding steady several weeks. Assume she must have a clutch but no action yet. Still eating eod and acting normally. Occasionally when she sits a certain way I think I can see the outline of an egg. She was receptive for a month so how many weeks until.she should lay? Thx

Did a photo shoot. So data wise she was first receptive 9/23 to 10/25 and laid 1st clutch 11/13/19; her weight was 112g and she laid 45 eggs. Normal weight about 88g. This time went receptive on 4/4 through to 5/4 again a month. It is now 23 days past and she is at 102g. No lack of appetite either or egg laying signs. Reducing temp and food may have reduced clutch size although I had hoped to shut her off. Just seems she might have eggs. Pics below. And thank you. Also does she look healthy?

Pics make her look kind of receptive but she really is more dull colored

Lookalike she's gravid to me and it might be a big clutch. I hope she can lay it ok.
So here we are on june 5th.. still weighs 102g, acting totally normal.. hungry as normal. I am wondering if she has eggs at all. She first turned receptive colors 2 months ago 4/4 and is only 4g heavier than she was then. Maybe diet and lower temp has worked

Only way to know for sure if she has eggs or not is an X-ray I think. Otherwise you will just have to wait and get her to a vet if he shows any signs of decline. I assume she has an egglaying bin in her cage?

Yes she lives with her egg laying bin which she was happy using with her first clutch

My two lady veileds did pretty much the same thing to me. One was receptive around early November and the other followed about a month later. I waited and waited as they got fatter and fatter with no signs of being ready to lay. Finally in late Feb the first one laid and then almost exactly one month later, the other did. Both had 40+ eggs. Now, both are just nearing the end of their receptive cycles at the same time.

Another update. No egg laying still. Holding weight at 102g. But aggravated today due to shedding ?

I'm not sure... Once my female veiled hit maturity she started getting yellow blotches all over her body which are now permanent. But she's heavier so she still could have a clutch.
