receptive female

Hi guys,
I would like to know if there's anything that have influence whether or not a female starts being receptive or how long it lasts. Is there anything that could trigger it? Like food intake or perhaps seeing a male?

Seeing a male could definately trigger it. Food intake increase is more likely to encourage egg production and larger clutch size.

Yes, I know. But could it have influance on female to "get" receptive?

No. females will be receptive when they are ready.

sometimes a seasonal change has been known to trigger it, but you clearly cant do anything about that.
