Rearranging?

So I'm getting my chameleon from a man off Craigslist, and he comes with a full enclosure and setup etc. which is great, but he has no live plants and I don't love the setup he's got going on. Would it be stressful to redo the whole cage? I would literally take practically everything out and replace with live and better quality stuff. The chameleon is a 2 year old male ambilobe panther

Up to you. Either way will work.

I'd say when you get him, judge his attitude and health level and let that help you make a decision. If he's an outgoing chameleon in good health, I would probably rearrange everything with the move to minimize the number of times his environment changes. If he's easily upset or stressed, it might be better to let him settle in, then slowly reset his environment. If he looks sickly and/or comes back with a fecal test positive for parasites, toss everything that's porous or that can't be sanitized.

Everything Lathes just said. I always use live plants, they hold the air moist and they smell right for the cham. I use fake vines for sturdy walking. Change him now since he is moving and having to readjust anyway.
