Random Egg

My Female Nosy be should be dropping her second clutch any time now but when I checked on her this afternoon I found an egg on the top of her laying bin. It was yellow and soft which means to me she's close to laying or she has a little ways to go before laying. Any thoughts?

was the egg small really yellow and dented? if so it is an un-calcified egg.

is this supposed to be an infertile or fertile clutch?

has she started digging yet?

if she is just dropping the eggs, they are most likely infertile, but if they are coming out as you say they are, that could potentially lead to complications, hoping not. and this isnt in all cases.

its up to you whether you'd like to be sure or not if she laid all eggs by getting an x ray after shes done laying. all the best, im sure everything will be fine though.

She hasn't dug at all yet. She was bred so it should be a fertile clutch. I think this was a casualty of her taking a huge dump and this came too LOL The eggs wasn't the only thing I found LOL. She's laid before so she should know what to do. I have some liquid calcium I may give her too possible to get things going. It's only been 45 days since she laid the first one so I'm not panicking yet.
