Hello
I have a question? Our veiled Cham Rainy not sure how old but we got him in July 13 he was body about 3 1/2 maybe 4 inches long. He is getting to be a big boy. Now he is 7 inches body that is. He sheds at the first of every month and eat two bowls of kale a day crickets and the crickets are dust twice a week? The vet said last oct he appears healthy? We watch his poo and check urine type stuff for orange ( dehydro) sometimes a small bit of orange especially just before his shed? Here lately he eats his crickets but does not just jump at quickly like he use to he seems not that interested he get them eaten but may leave one or two here lately listen to his chest with stethoscope no noise as far as raspy sounds he begs out he loves to ride on my shoulder but I ave been working a lot. But we have like a jungle gym thing made of sticks glued on the wall we let him get out on for exercise. I guess my question is what is up with his lack of interest in his crickets here lately ? He eats about 14 to 17 crickets a day when he eats them all. He does get meal worms as a treat on occasion.

Thanks I would appreciate any help

He may just be tired of them. Feed him something else like super worms, silk worms, hornworms, dubia roaches etc.

You also need to stop feeding him kale. It and spinich contain oxalates that can interfere with calcium absorption and is also goitrogenic. Search for Sandrachameleon's blogs about feeders, gutloading etc. It is an exellent resource for nutritional information for both chams and their feeders.
