Hey everyone,

I just wanted to share my experience over the last few days. So here we go.

I saw a post on the classifieds earlier in the week by hbskeet for some pygmy chameleons. I sent him some pms, and met with him Thursday morning and bought the 1.2 group and the cage they were in. The cage is a zoomed 12x12x18, and was already planted. I had to add the lights, and decided to go with an exo terra light cycle unit. I am running a 5.0 uvb bulb, along with a 6500 plant grow bulb.
I got them home about noon on Thursday, and set them up in the corner to acclimate, then left to run some errands. I got home about 4:30 and went to check on the little guys. I could only find 2. I know there was three in there when I got home earlier. After carefully looking all over the place, I noticed something white on the cage floor towards the back, then a little cham head sticking out of the dirt. The large female was laying eggs. Wow! Especially after a car ride. So I let her be, and jumped on the forums.
I sent hbskeet a pm, along with a couple other members asking them questions. Hbskeet called me within an hour, and told me what to do with the eggs, and more importantly how to care for mom after laying. Jan also came through with an email on how to do the eggs.
So today after picking up some vermiculite, I now have 3 eggs in a little tuperware container in a closet.
I have misted a few extra times over the last couple of days, so hopefully mom is drinking. I saw her grab a calcium covered cricket yesterday, so I know she is eating.
These guys are so cool.

Thanks for reading. You can see some pictures in my album.:D

I'm glad you two like them. I'm a man of my word. I said the larger female was going to lay or has layed ad the smaller female is receptive. Wait until you catch them breeding. It took me about 2 1/2 years before I got to witness it with my pygmies. Maybe you'll be luckier. Well, I hope all goes well and keep me posted. If you ever feel like expanding and getting a 18x18x24 exo terra and adding a couple more females let me know.
