I keep my door room closed to keep the cats out of the room while im away and yesterday I got home opened the door everything was okay.I keep 2 chameleons. Went in the garage to work on their new enclosures only to have my girlfriend come home and go in the room to say that one of the cats had attacked karma and he was laying on his side all black. Within 10 minutes of me leaving the room it was all done and too late. He was bit and tossed around I guess, never have my cats shown any aggression towards another animal. Breaks my heart to have him go that way. I truely want to apologize and hope he is in a better place. Lesson learnt, the doors are UNNOPENABLE now unless done by a adult!

RIP Karma

so sorry :( breaks my heart

Oooh man sorry to hear that...man i would have hurt that cat...

Very sorry for your loss and a terrible lesson for you to learn. You are not the first member on here to lose a chameleon to a cat. It happens. You can be super careful but sometimes it just takes a brief moment and the damage is done. I had my chameleons outside today and left the door open on the one cage. I turned to do something in the yard and apparently did not latch the cage(I swore I did) and I freaked when I saw the door open. Luckily I was right there and caught it in time. My heart goes out to you because I know how bad you must feel but don't be too hard on yourself.

I love prefer the company of my animals to many people and try to do my best to take care of my pets. One lack of judgment and poof. Lesson learnt, thanks for the support I need it.

ps:as much as I love my animals, the cat did have a nice little flight across the room...

Condolences on the loss of your chameleon. Honestly, this could happen to anyone... No body is perfect and mistakes happen, its called being human.

I know that doesn't help with the pain of losing a companion, but don't beat yourself up.

RIP Karma
