Quick cage size question

Hello all, I have a 6 month old Male Panther and I have him in a 18X36X36 cage for now. I know, as a male, he is going to need a bigger cage than my female. At what age do you think I should transition him to a larger enclosure and what size do you think is good? I was thinking about a 24X24X48 Also can anyone recommend a good, safe enclosure spray cleaner?
Thanks!

Your cage sizes sound right move him up to a larger one , and I use deluted bleach, I mix it a little strong, put it in a spray bottle make sure it did not have other chems in it , use a new one ..

I would definitely move up the the 24x24x48 enclosure, I have that right now for my Female Veiled and she is in heaven, until she goes outside but that is another story :D the larger one will be great. I recommend reptibreeze cages, I really like mine and am very satisfied. But on the other hand other members like other cages so that is just my experience with it. Hope this helps! :D

you could have your adult live in that comfortably ( the 18 X 36 X 36) are you sure it is not a 18 X 30 X 36 though? Kammerflage Kreations keep their adults in that size. Honestly I like the 36 wide versus the 24 as it gives them more room to go back and forth. Alot of them just stay at the top of their enclosures anyways and don't go to the bottom all that much. Just some food for thought. You really don't have to upgrade. When you think about it you are giving them 12 more inches on th width but losing the 12 on the heighth. If you put you chameleon's cage up high enough on a table or stand they are not going to know the difference.

Yeah I wrote that size wrong, the current cage is 18X18X36. I really would like him to have some more width to move around in. To be honest I am thinking a 24x24X48 for my female too. She just seems to move around a lot, she always has been an adventurer since she was little.

I bought my guy from kammer's and like I said they suggested that size the 18 X 30 X 36. So yours is a little smalle then. I will be honest, I had my chameleon in that for quite awhile into adulthood but I also have a big outdoor cage and a free range area on my patio so he spent limited time in that cage. I was just saying it is doable but if you are planning on keeping your guy in that cage size that you have 24/7 pretty much, then yeah, I would upgrade. I have the 24 X 24 X 48 for both of my indoor cages and my one cham never uses the bottom two feet of the cage ever!!!

Yeah I think I will end up with the 24X24X48 for both my Chams then :) They pretty much stay in there all the time except when I get them out to go outside for a few. I will probably turn there smaller cages into outdoor bask cages for my back porch since I don't keep them outside for very long.

honestly, the more room the better for them I think. The standard on here is the 24 X 24 X48 but you could always build a much larger one if you wanted.
