I have a mini trashcan that is about 10 inches high filled with sand.. and for a while I always had it in the bottom of my cage but then it FILLED WITH WATER!
It's been over a month since I removed the can and I've noticed my chameleon is roaming up and down the cage .. possibly ready to lay some eggs.. so I placed the bin back in last now and already I can see water building up again.. Is there a way to keep this from happening? :\ Or a way to dry out the sand? Maybe I should poke a few holes in the bottom of the can? Or mix peat moss with it?
