does it matter where the heat/uvb are in the enclosure mines on top obviously but can in be near the front or should it be at the back? or does it not matter?
i ask because my lamp fixture came today :) its a deep dome zoo med double fixture so holds 2 bulbs :)

Doesn't matter where you place them, just make sure you have a branch or something for him to rest on about 6" away from the UVB bulb. As for the heat, have another branch at the location where your basking temp is ideal.

Thankyou

Just make sure he is not as close to the basking bulb as he is the UV.

The % UV drops sharply as you get farther away, so 6'' would be good.
But you want him a good 10'' or so from the basking bulb because he
could get a burn.

So if you possition a branch 6'' below the UV and another at 10 to 12" under
the basking light, you should be fine.
Just make sure to monitor the basking temp with a probe thermometer.
You may need to experiment with a few different wattage bulbs to find
one that gives you a good temp.
You can also use a 'in-line' lamp dimmer to lower the bulb temp if you are
using incandecent ones.
