Question on mating

So I introduced my nosy male and female today and it seemed the male wasn't to interested he puffed up a bit but didn't attack her or anything. I decided to leave them in the cage together for a little while they just kinda ignored each other so I got up went and took a shower, when I came back the male had what look like sperm just hanging out of him. I've done my research on mating but is that normal has anyone had this happen? Also I'm not sure if they mated while I was in the shower I heard it can take 10 minutes it could take hours. Somive left them together for now

That is normal for the male to have a sperm plug after seeing a female. I would assume that nothing happened while you were in the shower.

Next time, I wouldn't allow them to be together without you watching as things can change very quickly. Male can become very aggressive if he decided he didn't want her around anymore.

Okay he's a big softy haha usually runs from her :p but ill make sure not to leave them alone, I was trying to give them some privicy

So I got another question I put them on neutral ground today and the male went crazy with the head bobbing but didn't really go after her how long can the head bobbing process take?

She was chilling even walking towards him but it Took a couple hours but he figured out how to mount her haha now I'm just waiting for them to lock tails he's been on her for about 10 minutes but they haven't locked up yet

Be sure to remove her as soon as she shows signs of being gravid....dark background color, rocking back and forth, gaping, hissing, etc. Or if the male shows signs of being aggressive.
