Question about the mistking timing intervals

I just bought a mistking system and I am curious if anyone has any tips regarding how the timing intervals should be. The system have 8 programmable times that the system can turn the mister on and off. If any current users on sweet spots I would love to know, our sunrise time is about 6:50 and sunset at about 7-7:30 ish (not sure on the sunset time I'm usually stuck in a cubicle most days lol.

Mine goes on about 1 hour after lights on. Then it's on every 3 hours for I think 3 minutes. I mist 4 times a day. Try and play with it to see what keeps your Cham hydrated.

What type of chameleon?

I like to give a good long mist about 30min after lights on, to initially raise the humidity for the day, and give them opportunity to drink and wet their tongue before feeding.

I also give a long mist around halfway through the day, and another long one at the end of the day, to raise humidity and lower temps for the night.

Other than that its just what keeps your humidity levels ideal, and gives opportunity for drinking.

Everyone's times are different, because our situations are different, so youll just have to find what works for you.

It depends on the chameleon, and on the age and terrarium size. i have 2 mistkings, 1 for juviniles and crested geckos, and one for adults which are in very large cages (2X4X6). the juvies have mists every 4 hours during day, the first and last are 1 minute long, and the rest are 45 secs long. during the night i give them 2 mistings for 30 secs to maintain humidity and it does give them some morning droplets. The adults get a 5 minute spray for first and last sprays of the day, the rest are 4 minute sprays every 3 hours, and during night every 5 hours for 1 minute. It all depends on the chameleon and their drinking habits, my adult male has had problems with hydration and just refuses to drink off leaves and drippers, only drinks during the mist, so i give long adult mistings, and his cage has extra nozzles. It also has to do with climate, in toronto its dry from september to april, so i need to keep it up, the rest of those monthes are hot and humid.

I havent purchased my chameleon as of yet im still deciding between an ambanja and a ambilobe, im trying to gather as much information as I can to have the conditions as optimal as possible when he arrives.
