I had a clutch of pygmies hatch today and was wondering when to offer them food for the first time? i have fruit flies and pin heads. should i dust them for their first feeding? was it okay thet i moved them from the hatch container to their new home after they hatched or should i have left them in there for a few days? any and all input would be helpful. i have 5 more clutches incubating and more clutches on the way:cool:

Sorry, i couldnt read that font very well.

The babies will be absorbing their egg sac/yolk, so a day or two and they will be fine. There is no harm in offering them some dusted fruit flies though ;) I would start their suppliments straight away as they will be growing fast and will need the calcium. I wouldnt worry too much about moving them straight away, just keep an eye on them and make sure they are able to find their food and they are drinking :)

Good luck with your little ones and the eggs that are cooking ;)
