Pygmy chams

Hey everyone i am ew to this forum, and just wanted to post. I was thinking about maybe getting some pygmy chameleons, i need to research firsst. Do they need ay special heating or lighting? Also could they be held in a glass tank? Or just in a screen cage? How high does their temps and humidity need to be? Could you guys also post pics of your cages for them?

Thanks, i was thinking...would it work if i actually like made them a cage? Like out of wood, and than wrap the wood in like window screen stuff? How big would it need to be?

Ive actually built a cage the same way you described it. The wood can rot and all sorts of nasty stuff can happen to it when wet so if you do decide to do that get some nontoxic silicone based paint (i think thats what i used... it was a long time ago ). This way it will protect the wood. a 2'x2'x3' should be around $40 bucks to make.

When i had nothing else to do with it i used this cage as an outdoor enclosure for my pygmies with tons of plants and stuff. It worked well for this purpose but ive never used it as a permanent enclusre for them since its so big.
