Over the past week I have noticed my veiled Chams back ankle are a little puffy he’s about 7-8 months old he has no problems climbing or anything. He’s using all four legs and doesn’t seem to be in pain. He also developed a whitish gray spot on his spine. Just wondering if there is anything to be concerned about

The area along his spine looks as though it may be a burn. Can you post pics of your entire enclosure please?
He has been in this cage for a about 3 weeks now befor you say anything about the setup lol. My apartment flooded and in my panic I removed the top branches an a plant when I had to move his cage. But the mark developed while in this setup. Could it just be his basking spot maybe the light needs to be higher. I usually have the light propped up about 10 inches from the top of the screen

You need to get a temperature probe to place in the basking spot to ensure that it isn't getting too hot. Some people suggest testing the basking spot by holding your palm for a minute under the basking light (where your cham would bask) to see if its too hot. But I don't find this to be a reliable method. The human body is excellent at thermoregulation, what may feel hot to me may not feel hot to you or vice versa. The only way to be certain is if you have a temperature probe where your chameleon would bask. You need to account for the temperature at the top of the casque which will be different from the temp directly on the branch.
I think the only people who can get away with not using any type of thermometer probe are those with a lot of experience or who are very familiar with the heat output of the specific bulb. Some of these bulbs can get very hot, so it's important to know how hot the basking spot is getting.
As for the puffy legs, I'm not too familiar with the legs of a veiled chameleon--so I can't say if it is normal or not. @Beman

I do not see anything abnormal with the ankles... But I agree that looks like a burn on the spine.
UVB Light looks to be a T8... Could be a T5 but either way the cham can not get close enough to get the uvb it needs. So MBD is going to be an issue if it stays this way.
Need to know what UVB your using Type of fixture and bulb strength.
I need to know what heat bulb wattage you have as well along with the bulb type. Looks like a focused heat bulb with how bright it hits the bottom of the cage.
