Prolapse

I recently took a chameleon from really bad conditions he seems to have a prolapse 2 little lumps at each side under his bottom I think been advised sugar and water can't get exotic vet app till next week wondering if any advice available thanks

I've heard KY jelly is something good to have on hand to lubricate the hemipenes with.

What colour are the bumps? If they are beige/brown they could simply be sperm plugs which aren’t nearly as bad as a prolapse.

If it is a prolapse and it does not dry out, they can be put back in and then the vet puts a stitch across the vent to keep it in. Worse case scenerio if they do dry up, they might have to be amputated. They can live without as they only use of reproduction and not to urinate.

if its a hemipenal prolapse best to use KY but not the jelly it makes a big mess get some of the water soluble ky to have on hand. I had it happen during a weekend once an had a vet I knew talk me threw it. its not difficult to do. now if its other inside parts coming out your goin need a vet for that
