Predators

So I was talking with someone about chameleons living in the wild. I have an panther ambilobe and he mentioned that since they're so colorful, they must not have many predators, because they'd be so easy to spot. I really couldn't give him an answer. Can someone shed some light on this?

Clearly you haven't had that experience where you sit staring at your cage searching for your cham until you realize that they are under your nose :D My ambilobe was blue and green at rest, and could get pretty dark and totally disappear into his plants. But fired up red and yellow when he wanted to, so it was quite a difference.

I couldn't name you the exact predators chameleons have in the wild but I think birds are a big one, probably a few snakes, etc. Perhaps someone else knows more, I can't say I'm super familiar with all the fauna on Madagascar.

Yeah I forgot about that! It actually has happened a few times! Haha
But I was just wondering. The only videos I've seen of chameleons having to fend off predators were the ones that live in the desert.
