So I haven’t noticed any tremendous weight gain, I feed her 5-7 feeders every other day, she is almost 7 months I believe, but I just wanted to post some pics and wanted some feedback if she looks Gravid or possible overweight? I don’t feed her to much because I don’t want her to be overweight but if you guys see any problems by the looks of her health. I am still trying to see a veterinarian but everyone is booked for months :(

There is receptive and there is gravid.
Receptive is when a female chamelon is ready to mate or breed with a male. These are the colors she will show when receptive

Gravid is when a female chameleon has eggs. These are the colors that she will show. Keep in mind she may not turn black, but green with black or blue dots, and some yellow.

Whenever she reaches 7 months, I would reduce her feedings to 3 every other day
Okay thank you! I was wondering about this, I do feed her very small crickets and the bsfl is also small which is why I haven’t held back on the amount. But thank you! Yea she has not shown any of these colors but she has shown the black dotted when she gets upset.

Absolutely! for now, that will be okay, but at 7 months definitely keep it between 3 and 4 every other day. Yep, so the black dots are shown as they mature. :)

She looks healthy... Not overweight at all. As she starts developing her colors it will vary from the pics you have been shown. They are not all the same patterns or color displays. The color difference may be very slight to begin with. Just like males have different patterns and fire up differently.

Most female keepers will take regular weights on their chams to see when they start to develop eggs. and after a clutch to know what the weight would be without eggs.

Thank you! That means a lot :) ! Okay so I do have a scale that I can use to weigh her, I’ve seen video on Neptune the chameleons YouTube where she puts them on plants and weighs them, I’m not completely sure on how to weigh her though. But I have been wanting to do that, do any tips on weighing her would be appreciated!

Yeah I use a weigh stand that I bought from Tamura designs on Facebook with a kitchen gram scale. Put the weigh stand on it and then zero out the scale then add the cham to get an exact weight.
