Possible Mild RI. Worried..

So I've noticed one or two slight signs of an RI recently. While he was still in his old cage I'd noticed a little bit of wheezing two different times. It was very rare but it still wasn't a hiss. He seemed to be breathing heavily also. He was previously in an Exo Terra and it was probably too much humidity wise. I kept a close eye on him and didn't really notice it much at all after that. I recently put him in his screen cage with upped temps and great drainage. He seems to be doing alright, but I've heard a faint wheeze about 3 different times over the past month. He really doesn't have any other symptoms. No bubbles in the mouth, no wheezing while sleeping, active, eating and drinking great, etc. He has a small amount of saliva when he opens his mouth to eat. Nothing that seems out of the ordinary though. I'm still concerned. I'm thinking this is either a mild case, or the beginning stages. Luckily now that he is in a better home, it hasn't gotten any worse.

My concern is this..
Before I purchased him, I checked to see if there were any Exotic Vets in my area. There is one. I wouldn't have purchased a Chameleon if I couldn't access a Vet when needed. Well, over the past few months, I've heard some comments on this place. I've had 3 different people tell me about their bad experience, and I didn't even ask. So I'm worried. There are many vets in my area, but only one that sees herps. I had one person tell me that she would rather eat dog poop than go there again. I really don't know what to do. I probably need Baytril to treat his possible infection. And to add onto the stress, I have no freaking clue how I can get him there. It is an all day task to get him out of his cage. By that point me and Bodhi are both in tears. So I will somehow have to remove him for a scheduled appointment, and place him in some type of carrying case, and get him to a vet with horrible reviews. By the way.. does anyone have any tips as to what to put him in? I have an extra 10 gal aquarium in the house. But that's about it. And do I need heat packs to keep him comfortable?

Anyways.. what should I do? Obviously he needs some type of treatment. Do I take him there or find another option? I'm not even sure how I would administrate something like that. I can't find nice thick gloves for handling him anywhere. Not even Home Depot or Lowes. And he will bite. I could probably drop something in his mouth with a medicine dropper, but I don't know anything about shots. I just want to get him treated before anything gets worse.

I will post the "How to ask for help" in just a second. I just updated it.

Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Male Veiled Chameleon, he is a little older than 6 months, and he has been in my care since he was about 2-3 months old.
Handling - Never. Only when he needs to be moved for a cage cleaning.
Feeding - Mainly crickets. He will occasionally have a worm as a treat, and some greens. He really loves his veggies. He eats about 15 crickets a day. They are gutloaded with Cricket Crack and a similar recipe by Repashy.
Supplements - He was previously given calcium without D3 every day. And alternating Sundays, he would have Calcium with D3 and Multivitamin. So twice a month for those two. But for the past month or two he has had Repashy Calcium Plus. He gets that every day lightly dusted. I haven't seen much of a difference, good or bad. It makes things easier on me and more balanced for him.
Watering - I use a mister. He has previously been drinking distilled water, and then tap during manual mists. I'm switching him to RO now that I know it can be used in his mister. I usually see him drink at least once a day. Although he is very shy about it. If he catches me watching him he hesitates.
Fecal Description - Poop is nice and firm. Brown. And his urate is white.
History - Nothing of relevance. Any specific questions I will be happy to answer.

Cage Info:
Cage Type - He is in a 4 ft tall LLL screen cage.
Lighting - 75 Watt Exo Terra heat bulb. A linear 5.0 Exo Terra UVB light.
Temperature - Night time temp never drops below 70 degrees. Daily are around 85-90 degrees in his basking spot. Going down to low 70's towards the bottom.
Humidity - Humidity levels are usually around 60%. Occasionally higher but never lower than that.
Plants - Bodhi has an Umbrella plant and a Ficus tree.
Placement - His cage is off of the ground on a shelving unit. I'd say it's highest point is about 7-8 ft. Bodhi's cage is in my room. Not much traffic other than me.
Location - Ashland, KY.

Current Problem - Possible RI. Occasional slight wheeze when breathing. Little saliva in his mouth, no crazy amount or bubbles. Eating, sleeping, drinking, and everything else are just fine. I've just noticed the wheezing and small amounts of saliva. Even though he only has one symptom I'm still worried. I don't think it's normal for him to wheeze for any reason. Even though it has only been witnessed a few times while I've kept an eye on him. The wheezing is still occasionally present but hasn't gotten worse. I also notice him breathing in deep sometimes, but I could just be reading into it too much. Sometimes he's thin and flattens out, other times he puffs up. So I don't know if he's just being a Chameleon or if his nose/mouth are clogged. I'm just worried and wanted to get this fixed.

Look at him when he is sleeping, if he is holding his head up or is flaring his gular that a sure sign of URI.
If you take him to a vet, tell them to do a culture and sensitivity test. I use Orbax (orbifloxacin) it's fast acting and has little if any side effects.

Thank you so much for answering. I will watch him sleep for the next couple of days. He usually rests his head on the vine. He could very well be fine. But I've never heard of a healthy Chameleon occasionally wheeze. Baytril is a scary drug. I'm glad there's some other antibiotics out there that aren't so harsh. I'd recently had some money saved up which had to go to other things. But I'd rather him get better. The $200 I have to live off of for the rest of the month is going toward Bodhi. Looks like Ramen and canned spaghetti for me. Lol.
