Possible for a Cage to Be Too Large?

I was pondering getting a very large cage for my chameleons once I move, and I was also wondering if it is possible for a cage to be too big for a domestic chameleon breed such as a veiled or panther, not wild-caught? This plan is definitely not set in motion, and each chameleon would have their own separate enlarged cage if I did ever go through with it. I imagine that it would feel like they each have more territory, and more space to explore. Any thoughts on this? Also, one sample dimension size was about 6' x 4'.

It' all good. They are FAR from domesticated and love big cages. As long as you can get the temp gradient set, I'd say go for it.

Never, if I'm being honest with myself, my one panther should probably have a room sized enclosure. He will explore every inch he can. I'd imagine my other Panthers would too given the opportunity. They are a very active species and we probably dont give them the optimal space they deserve as it is.

Your only obstacles with a larger cage is providing enough UVB, heat (temp range) and humidity for a larger area. I know some people who free ranged had animals that didn't spend enough time under the UVB and developed MBD issues.

I'm actually in the process of trying to build one about that size. It's still in pieces, though. It's eventually going to become an outdoor cage

I realized this might be an issue, which is why I will probably have two/three basking bulbs over the top of the cage and maybe 2 linear UVBs as well so that the cham doesn't have to stay in just one spot to bask and UVB.
I was looking at my current cage right now and thought, "This is nothing compared to what they have in the wild" and thought it would be a fun undertaking to build or buy an extra large cage/s for my little chameleon family, which is sure to start growing soon.
Thanks for the input everyone! I am hopeful that I can begin this project soon. I bet the chams would really enjoy cages like that.
