Pomona Show-Sheraton

So it was advertised that the Sheraton would be doing $99 rooms for the show. I called today to make reservations and was told that the cut-off date for that was 2 days ago. Was anybody else told this?? And was this info posted anywhere? It's $150 without that discount which is kind of pricey for us...anybody know of any other places to stay that are still close but would be cheaper?

It is posted on the front page of www.ReptileSuperShow.com, but they probably just filled up... I don't think they typically would put a deadline (timeframe) on the rooms, but I think they set aside a block of "30 (or whatever)" rooms, and once they fill up at the $99 rate, they're gone. There's lots of hotels within 10 miles or so, but $150 is actually quite a bit cheaper than I was told they were normally for rooms there. You might be able to find others in the $100 range, or maybe call the show promoter and see if he can get you in at $99.

Funny you should mention contacting the promoter, as that is what I did Sat. morning. He told me there was no deadline and they said they would reserve him 5 rooms a day until the show. Anyway, it wasn't until after speaking with about 4 people and demanding a manager that things worked out. It's funny though because we got every line from "the deadline has passed" to "we don't have that promo code in our system". But, like I said, it was no issue once we demanded a manager.
