This past week I've been noticing my chams color to be darker than normal and just tonight i saw him having really weird leg movements, it almost looked like he was rubbing his leg back and forth on the branch. And rubbing his foot on his head. He also rubbed his head/eye region on the branch. It really worried me so i did some research. I'm not usually good with remembering to dust the crickets before i feed Zeus.
Also this week I've been incredibly busy and have been slacking on feeding him everyday. I googled MBD and he doesn't have bowed legs and he hasn't fallen (that i know of) and he can eat a HUGE meal. Tonight I cleaned his cage fully, wiping off the plants and such and his color looks better but still not as bright. Also, I just noticed theres a slight bulge at the bottom of his left back leg I'm not sure if this is normal

someone please help ) :

Good Luck :)

I know you are asking for help, and that is good. But to not take proper care of your Cham tells me maybe you shouldn't have one. You are asking members to take the time to help you, but your not taking responsibility for your animal.
Your Cham needs attention, not having bowed legs does not mean he doesn't have the beginning stages of MBD, I would suggest making sure your feeders are gutloaded, supps are being given everyday in the proper amt and correct ones. Get him outside in the sun as much as possible. I don't like to say to run to the vet, but if you are correcting your husbandry and he is still exhibiting symptoms, a vet appt might be in order.

Could he be getting ready to shed and is just itchy?

the problem is posted above

THANK YOU!

You're probably going to be seeing suggestions on better gutloading for your feeders. In general, this board suggests forgoing most store bought stuff and using veggies and fruits from the grocer.

You should find a calcium without D3 and use that daily. Do whatever you have to do to make that happen (one idea: store the calcium jar inside the bag you use for feeding).

You should also get a multivitamin with D3. That really should be used no more than twice a month. I'm trying to think up an easy way for you to remember to do that...

Are you planning on moving him to a bigger enclosure? That one is small for an adult veiled.

I think pictures, particularly of the lump on the leg, would be very helpful.

My gut reaction is that he's being bitten by something. Possibly crickets that are left in the cage overnight, possibly ants, possibly mites. Your description just reads "itchy" to me.

thank you so much! I'll post pictures as soon as I can. I do plan on moving him to a larger cage, I knew it'd have to be changed when he got
Bigger. I'm
Not sure what he could being bit by but it's a possibility
