PLEASE HELP ME, My Chameleon Sketch has something wrong with him

So I have a veiled chameleon named Sketch he is about 2 years old and he has some sores on his head and veil that I have no idea where they came from. He has been doing great for the 2 years or so I have had him. For the past two weeks he has stopped eating and now these sores have appeared I don't know what do. Any advice or help is greatly appreciated. Please help me out if you know anything.

Welcome to the forums. Poor little Sketch. You need to take him to the vets for some antibiotic and ointment. That looks bad. Could he have got a burn from his lights? I would put some neosporine on it until the vet visit. Do you have a reptile vet? If not I might be able to recommend one if you share where you live.

Um it is very possible that they could be burns I am not sure. He has been close to his lights before and nothing this bad happened so I wasn't sure. I live in Indianapolis, Indiana. You would put Neosporin on it??

Would this be a reason for him to stop eating? I have tried several different types of food and he just seems like he has no interest.

Whatever that is it could very well be infection and infection spreads and could very well make him stop eating. I would get him to the vets ASAP and put neosporin on it until the vet visit when the vet should give you something much better. I'm working on getting you a vet now.

Looks like a burn. Chameleons won't eat when they are in pain.

If you do put neosporin on it, make sure it's the kind without pain reliever. You can also use polysporin without pain medication in it. Poor guy, I'm sorry Sketch is hurt, hopefully you can get him in to the vet. They can give him some antibiotics and better ointment than what you can get over the counter.
