Hi and welcome to the forum, she wouldn't be wheezing because she is thirst so don't spray her while she is wheezing:) I didn't see any type of UVB bulb mentioned, did the petstore mention a UVB? You will need to get one if you don't have one, the reptisun 5.0 is most commonly used, reptiglow is another if you don't have reptisun available at the moment. May I ask if she started wheezing while she ate? Have you heard her do this before? Does she have any bubbles or excess saliva? if you hold her up to her ear can you hear any crackling or popping sounds? does she sit with her head upward? Mouth open?

Mouth open i just saw for the first time. shes got a UVB but honestly i dont know whats what. i have a flat bulb a curly bulb and a red bulb :/. it was before she was eating and after she ate. i just held her up. didnt hear any noise. no burbleyness just weezing a mouth open. she showing her really stressed out colors :(

You said..."i sprayed her off again"...be careful that you don't spray her in the mouth so that she aspirates water (into her lungs). You will kill her.

If she's under 4 months of age, the temperature in her cage in the warmest area doesn't need to be any more than 80 to 85F.

As Suzi asked...does she have a UVB light?? The most often recommended one is the long linear fluorescent tube Repti-sun 5.0.

I would take get rid of the red bulb, take your other bulb, her basking bulb the 75 or whatever one you are using and replace it with a regular 60 watt house bulb

i dont think i spayed into her mouth she wasnt holding it opend when i was spaying. i think the curly bulb might be cooler. should i try it? i got to leave for work ina few mins and im scared to leave her :'(

What are you using to measure her temps? I think the lights need to be addressed and fixed first, if she is still wheezing you will need to take her to a vet for proper diagnosis( possible respiratory infection) but we need to get her temperatures right

also the ac is out in my house. it 85 degrees to 90 with no light on! jeez what terrible timeing!!!

I don't trust the spiral or the compact household lights. I use a regular incandescent household bulb of a wattage that produces the right temperature in the basking area. I put the bulb in a domed hood.

For the UVB I use the long linear fluorescent tube Repti-sun 5.0 light.

If the room temperature is hot, then you don't need the basking light on at all.

ok. what do i do? on sunday everything is closed in SC. its probally and good 40-60miles drive to any kind of vet witch i compleatly dont mind but untill then i need some good ideas for her :(

The coil bulb is your UVB bulb they are not recommended because of issues in the past with eye problems ( I have used them before knowing that that with no I'll affects but choose not to as the reptisun is considered the best and safest way to go) but keep it for now until you have another UVB bulb to replace it (again just my opinion) I am sure others will also give there advice:)

Its off. should i let her free roam in my room for a few hours to get cooler? i can lesave the window open and let her rexlax on it.

Are you using a digital gauge to measure temps and humidity? If not I would get one at home depot or lowes for 10.00

im not useing a digatal. ill get one next time i go to town. i compleatly turned the lights off i called 3 diffrent vets and no anwsers. it too hot in my house for her. i might take her my my boyfriends untill futher notice :(
